The Hodaka Club is dedicated to the preservation,
restoration and riding of the Hodaka brand of motorcycles worldwide. The concept of forming a
Hodaka Club has been bouncing around for quite awhile, and now it's a
reality! One significant motivator for
finally starting the club was the huge cost for event insurance which was
required for Hodaka Days 2005 in Athena, OR and Hodaka Days 2006 at Mid-Ohio. We have received an
official club charter from the American Motorcyclist Association ( AMA ). The
Hodaka Club provides a venue for loyal Hodaka enthusiasts who wish to see the
Hodaka marque continue well into the future.
Just thinking about the concept of a 1960’s – 70’s era Hodaka fan
helping a grandchild with his or her first motorcycle ride on a Hodaka is just,
well, cool! One Hodaka Club goal is to
assure that insurance coverage is in place to provide appropriate protection
for event organizers, property owners, participants and spectators when Hodaka
fans gather to celebrate and ride their favorite machines. Another goal is to promote the Hodaka
marque at events and in national magazines – partly to help in finding as many
of our Hodaka friends and their machines as possible Hodaka Club members will
receive an Internet newsletter once a quarter. This newsletter will be
called the “ Resonator Revisited“ and
our own Gary Woodling will be the editor this new Internet magazine with proof
reading for accuracy from our own Ed Chesnut who worked on the original
Resonator magazine while employed at PABATCO. The
Hodaka Club newsletter will offer rare photos and Hodaka information not to be
found elsewhere. There will be
re-prints of original Hodaka information and articles which up-date original
information with new R & D facts.
In addition, there will be interviews with Hodaka celebrities and
“notables”, and other celebrities and “notables” in the larger motorcycling
community. There will even be rare
movie scenes from the 60’s and 70’s of racing, R&D testing and activities
at the Factory in Nagoya, Japan. Hodaka Club members will be
eligible for great specials on parts via some of our parts suppliers. These
certain specials will only be offered to Hodaka
Club members upon them presenting their club membership number. By joining the Hodaka Club your annual dues of $24.00 will support the preservation and promotion of this great brand of motorcycle we all love. Your voice will help shape the future of Hodaka in the months and years ahead. And you will help other Hodaka activities and events go forward in all parts of this country and eventually the world. Hodaka, “the little brand that could” still can be the motorcycle brand of choice for thousands of fans worldwide.
